    Since his arrival on the team, Alarcon has been a solid contributor in various relays and individual events.  Alarcon currently holds the men's record in the 200 individual medley, along with the 400 yard medley relay.  Last year, Alarcon posted a solid showing at the MAC championship meet where he placed 9th in the 100 butterfly and 7th in the 200 butterfly.

    Vanderhoff has received a few awards this season: she was named MVP at the Days Inn Tournament on January 3rd, and six days later she was named MAC Player of the Week.

  • Chris Hardenberg Player Profile: Chris Hardenberg

    Hardenberg  is currently enjoying his best year as a senior, where he is 17-9 to put his career total at 53 wins. Hardenberg earned first place at the Messiah Invitational, second place at Wilkes, and fifth place again at the Roger Williams Invitational.

    According to Brunk, the team has set records and firsts on a consistent basis this season and have been the beneficiary of many impressive and intense individual performances. Additionally, the team has consistently been ranked in the top 25 in the nation throughout the course of the season.

    GoMessiah.com is already regarded as one of the top sports sites among Division III athletics -- and it just got a little bit better, as Messiah College Athletics unveiled its new website last week that aims to be more more interactive and social network friendly.

  • MessiahSwim2 Messiah Swimming Season Recap

    With only the MAC Championships left in the 2011-2012 season, the men and women's swim teams have both experienced roller coaster rides of a season, with many highs and some lows. Both teams won their final meet of the season, with the men ending the regular season with a record of 5-6 and the women's team with a record of 6-5.

  • Wrestling Team Pins Opponents to the Mat

    Despite an overall record of 9-6, Messiah wrestling has found success on the mat both individually and as a team. Messiah started the season off strong by winning the Messiah Invitational over seven other schools. A week later the team traveled to Rhode Island for the Roger Williams Invitational and came in 2nd out of 11 teams.

    Following an inconsistent start to the 2011-2012 season, the Falcons are playing arguably their finest basketball since the 2009-2010 season, when the team won 24 of 29 games during the regular season.

    The seniors for Messiah ended their careers with a record of 96-1-4 and a perfect 27-0-0 record in conference play. Their lone loss was in the 2010 championship game.

    First year student Mackenzie Clapper started playing soccer at the age of four and has played ever since. She is studying psychology and has a minor in counseling.
