Proposed Changes to the Weight Room
The weight room, located in the basement of Eisenhower Campus Center, is one of the most popular places for athletes and students alike to train and exercise at Messiah College. It is so popular, in fact, that the Student Government Association has received complaints about the weight room being too small and too cramped.
In light of these complaints, SGA has proposed that some of the racquetball courts be converted to extra weight room space.

The Search: Future Job Seekers
According to a survey conducted by the Messiah College Career Center, 60 percent of the graduating class of 2010 are currently employed or volunteering, 20 percent are in graduate school, and 20 percent are still looking for a job.

Horses Therapy to be Used in College Reserach Project
Have you ever considered horses as a form of therapy? Every Wednesday for six weeks, eight participants experiencing or facing a "life transition" will "explore the social, spiritual and emotional dimensions of life transitions they are experiencing or anticipating" - while interacting with horses, according to an email sent by Associate College Pastor Evie Telfer on January 25.

The White House recently announced a joint initiative with business and non-profit organizations to make use of the "untapped potential" that disconnected and low-income youth offer America. According to www.whitehouse.gov, the initiative, termed "Summer Jobs+," aims to provide approximately 250,000 summer employment opportunities.

Messiah College students and alumnus help run Representative Stephen Bloom’s campaign
On Tuesday January 3, Representative Stephen Bloom announced his campaign for re-election to the State House of Representatives for Pennsylvania's 199th District.
Two Messiah College students, Derek Petrella '12 and Phil Strunk '14, as well as recent graduate Evan Pittsley '11, are a part of Bloom's campaign team. Petrella and Pittsley are Bloom's campaign managers, while Strunk is Bloom's field director.
